Hey there! I’m a Bay Area transplant with close to two decades of multi-disciplinary design experience and a specific interest in healthcare & Femtech.
Over the years I’ve found myself in UX, UI, strategy, creative director and management roles. I spent the past few years as a design director for a microbiome testing company, until we were raided by the FBI and several months later went out of business (a story I’m happy to share over tequila). I’ve dabbled in QA (JIRA is my reluctant friend), UX writing and content writing.
Born and bred by two journalists (I like to question all the things), I spent the early part of my life living abroad, in Belgium. I went to high school with Zach Braff and Lauryn Hill in New Jersey, but they have no idea who I am (if you’re reading this Zach/Lauryn, how come you never come to the reunions?!?). Oh, and ultimate frisbee was invented at my high school. I’m not kidding.
I went to an all-women’s college, majored in English Lit, and fell into design after graduation, when the company I worked for as a writer lost their designer. After that came the gaming industry (RIP GameHouse), agtech (I worked on a platform connecting farmers directly to restaurants) and then agency work. I spent a lot of time designing for Kaiser Permanente at the agency, and this is where my interest in healthcare and technology blossomed.
In my downtime, I’m currently binging episodes of Schitt’s Creek and The 100 (comedy and apocalyptic themes are my favorite, just not….combined). And in terms of adulting, I have a cheesemonger husband and two rascally little boys.
I am currently available for full-time work and freelance projects.
